15.03.12 Faraja Latia Celebrates World Food Day
Faraja Latia Farm together with the Ministry of Agriculture Kajiado North District and their counterparts from Isinya District celebrated this years’ World Food Day on 16th October 2010. The theme of this year’s observance was ‘United Against Hunger, chosen to recognize the efforts made in the fight against world hunger. This occasion was marked at Faraja Latia Farm with the guest of honor being the Isinya District Commissioner Mr. Adan Bule who urged farmers in the area to embrace farming and in specific crop management for them to eradicate famine in the area. Present were Faraja Latia staff and the organizations’ executive director who made the occasion a success, staff members from the Ministry of Agriculture, stakeholders among them Equity Bank Limited, Cooperative Bank, Amiran (K) Ltd, Moneymaker, JICA and many others.Schools from the area entertained guests with poems and songs.
